Steve Black has taught yoga at Georgia Southern and for the SBCPRD for several years. A recent graduate of the Savannah Yoga Center's Teacher Training program, Steve is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200 hour level with Yoga Alliance. He is currently enrolled in the Asheville Yoga Center's 500 hour Teacher Training program. He also teaches in the Department of Writing and Linguistics at GSU. In his personal practice and as a teacher, Steve takes a playful, exploratory approach to yoga, focusing closely on alignment while gracefully and dynamically linking poses to the breath. Steve is a facilitator of the Heartpine Sangha, which meets twice monthly at Yoga on Vine, and approaches his Flow Yoga class as a movement meditation that deepens students' awareness of their bodies and minds.
